Installing Blackbox II

1.  REGISTRATION DEVICES

Unzip the "creamware" folder and copy it to your C disk (and no other disk).

After this operation, you must have a "Creamware" folder on your C disk. And by going inside this folder and its sub-folder, you will find 3 devices called "registration devices" (with more or less different names).

These registration devices are device that have the name of the user, and  activate sound on the blackbox synths and effects. Without them, there is no sound.

This system is less sexy than a hardware key, but it allows you to install it on several computers of yours, without being limited by the hardware numbers.

- Registration devices could be put anywhere, but it is better to have them in C/Creamware..... because it is the way it is on my computer, and it will prove faster to load factory presets that way.

2. BlackBox II

The install file must be unzip and it contains a folder "Devices". Inside this folder, you have several sub-folders that replicate scope install, and inside some of those, there are the blackbox devices.

The aim is to allow a simple copy/paste of the device folder, to install all BB2 devices where they need to be.

So if you copy the Device folder in the zip "onto" the device folder of your scope/xite installation, you will find all BB2 devices where they need to be.

3. Finall steps: setting search options

Start Scope/Xite, and go to the menu "Set" and then "Search" (it may be called differently according to scope version).

Now, check the folder "C:\Creamware\ that was created in 1.

Also, if not done yet, check C:\Scope  (or wherever is you scope install)

It means that , when a device/insert is not found, Scope will serach into those directories. Otherwise, it ask you to search and load it manually whichj is extremely annoying.

It is not a good idea to set the search option to "C:\ " for example, because it will serach in unecessary folder and will take time. So it is better to be more specific.

That's it, you can now load a blackbox synth or effect and enjoy it completely.
